This is by far the most popular package in southern Belize, super fun, easy and educational! Perfect for chocolate lovers, culinary inquisitive and nature enthusiasts!

Are you a chocoholic, interested in Mayan history, culinary experiences and expertise?

We have put together this phenomenal package for you! Discover Toledo district, the home of cacao farming and get your hands on chocolate. The tour starts with the trees, to the bean to a hand made chocolate bar in your hands.

Geraldo the farmer gives you a complete history of  his organic cacao farm and a detailed explanation of  how the beans are extracted from the pods and then fermented and finally dried and ready to be processed into chocolate.  Learn about the native varieties of cacao trees, taste, touch, smell, hear and see for yourself  how chocolate is made by hand. Indulge your senses with all things chocolate as you enjoy a home made mayan traditional lunch.

After an unique Mayan chocolate making  experience we then take an hour drive making our way back to Placencia where we then make a stop at Mayan King Waterfall for a refreshing swim in the middle of the rain-forest with stunning views of a 50ft waterfall in the background before we head back to Placencia.
